Southport Pleasureland has partnered with Merseyrail to offer a discount to people travelling to the theme park by train.
The offer during the school summer holidays applies to trips from Mondays to Fridays until Tuesday, August 30 (excluding August 26) with a discounted price of £19.99 on Full Experience Tickets for people who present their Merseyrail ticket or travel pass.
Norman Wallis, chief executive of Southport Pleasureland, said: “While we do have car parks available on-site, it’s not all about profits for us.
“We have an environmental conscience too. Guests who show their Merseyrail ticket at check-in will not only be doing good for the environment but will also benefit from a special offer and savings when they visit Pleasureland this summer.”
Meanwhile, Suzanne Grant, chief commercial officer and deputy managing director of Merseyrail, added: “We’re delighted to be partnering with Southport Pleasureland. Helping to reduce the cost of days out means more families will be able to enjoy themselves this summer.
“Travelling on Merseyrail is not only cost effective, but also a great way for families to be environmentally friendly. We’re hoping lots of people from across the region will be able to enjoy great days out with Southport Pleasureland and Merseyrail.”
