A new leisure venue is scheduled to open in Greater Manchester catering for all types of water sports.
Called Phoenix Park, planning permission has been granted for the new water park to be built on the edge of the River Ribble near Preston Marina.
The development will upgrade the current Trax Motor Centre site and offer water sports such as canoeing, stand-up paddle boarding, and water skiing. Also included in its offering will be a 12-meter-high dry ski slope and mountain biking.
Plans have been approved by Preston City Council’s planning committee.
Phoenix Park will also house accommodation facilities with thirteen lodges to be constructed on-site to be used as accommodation for post-16-year-old students.
