The new SBF/Visa family coaster is under construction in Point Pleasant Beach ahead of its planned summer 2026 debut.
Patriot’s Run at Jenkinson’s Boardwalk is moving through construction ahead of its planned opening for the 2026 summer season in Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey. The new family coaster replaces Tidal Wave and gives the oceanfront amusement park a fresh ride asset for a high-traffic anniversary year in the US calendar.
Jenkinson’s Boardwalk first announced the project on 28 August 2025. The attraction will stand more than 35ft tall and use a red, white and blue theme linked to America’s 250th birthday in 2026. The park has not yet confirmed an opening date.
The Jenkinson’s Boardwalk roller coaster comes from SBF/Visa Group’s Cyclon platform. Rides 4 U, based in Somerville, New Jersey, represents the Italian manufacturer in North America. The model gives Jenkinson’s a compact coaster format suited to a boardwalk footprint.
Patriot’s Run will feature conventional trains and a classic lift hill. Jenkinson’s has positioned the ride as a larger family coaster, designed to broaden the park’s appeal while staying within its established family market.
The project also carries a local heritage link. Jenkinson’s said the design takes cues from Flitzer, a former coaster that once operated on the same site before Tidal Wave. The outgoing Tidal Wave gave its final rides on 1 September 2025.
Jenkinson’s Marketing and Brand Manager Alexander Taylor said the park will share the opening date through its website and social media channels. Until then, construction progress remains the key update for operators and suppliers watching seasonal ride investment on the US boardwalk market.
