ROARR! Dinosaur Adventure in Norfolk is opening Fossil Falls — a dry tubing slide by Dutch specialists Swedice — this July, taking its attraction count to 26.
ROARR! Dinosaur Adventure is set to open its longest-ever ride this summer. Fossil Falls, a £250,000 tubing slide built by Netherlands-based Swedice, opens in July at the park’s 85-acre Lenwade site, near Norwich. The Fossil Falls ROARR! tubing ride runs to 105 metres — surpassing every other attraction at the UK’s largest dinosaur-themed park.
The layout follows a standard Swedice dry tubing configuration. Riders descend in doughnut-shaped rings from a launch platform, passing through a 12-metre enclosed tunnel before slowing to a stop at a brake ramp. Swedice are currently on site completing the build.
Ben Francis, park director at ROARR!, told the Eastern Daily Press: “Fossil Falls is a fantastic new addition to ROARR! and one we’re really excited to open this summer. At 105 metres, it’s our longest ride to date, and we think it’s going to be a real highlight for families visiting the park.”
He continued: “We’re always looking at ways to invest in and improve the ROARR! experience for our visitors — Fossil Falls is a brilliant example of that, adding real value for the families who choose to spend their day making memories with us.”
Swedice has previous UK installations. The company supplied tubing slides to Haven Devon Cliffs Holiday Park in Devon and GreenWood Family Park in Wales. Its systems use Neveplast NP TUBBY surface material, designed to replicate snow-covered runs year-round with no water dependency. Brake ramps are standard across their builds.
ROARR! operates more than 25 attractions across its 85-acre site. These include Predator High Ropes, Dippy’s Splash Zone, go-karts, live theatre and the animatronic walkthrough Valley of the Dinosaurs. The standard entry price covers every ride and attraction on site.
