Familypark has opened Rotonda, a Zamperla Disk’O Coaster set within a new wine-themed area in St. Margarethen, Austria.
Rotonda at Familypark opened on 8 May 2026, adding a new main attraction to Austria’s largest amusement park in St. Margarethen, Burgenland. The ride gives Familypark a clear 2026 season story, with a themed investment tied to the wine culture of the Lake Neusiedl region.
The attraction forms part of Abenteuerinsel, one of the park’s themed areas. It uses a winegrowing setting with Mediterranean architecture, landscape features and decorative vineyard references. The result is a local theme rather than a licensed intellectual property route.
Rotonda at Familypark is a Zamperla Disk’O Coaster. Guests sit on a circular 40-seat platform that rotates while moving along a wave-shaped track with a camelback element. The ride combines spin, speed and directional change.
The attraction name reflects the ride motion. Familypark says ‘Rotonda’ combines references to rotation and wave movement. The park lists the ride for guests from 120cm.
Rotonda follows the Easter opening of Wilder Winzer in the same themed area. That attraction targets younger visitors and gives the new zone a broader family spread. Together, the two rides create a fresh cluster within Abenteuerinsel.
Compagnie des Alpes, the operating company behind Familypark, invested around €4.7m in the new area. Familypark said many regional and Austrian companies worked on planning and construction. This keeps part of the project value within Burgenland.
The official opening drew around 60 invited guests from politics, media and business. That local attendance reflects the park’s role as a regional leisure business, not only a seasonal attraction.
