Sally Dark Rides, the leader in interactive and immersive dark ride experiences, has unveiled a new evolution in attraction design: the Mini™ Dark Ride – a fully realised dark ride experience built for smaller venues such as zoos, aquariums, and family destinations.
The experienced ride manufacturers states that the Mini™ ‘delivers the storytelling, interactivity, and production value of a full-scale Sally attraction in just 2,000–3,000 square feet.’
Designed for compact footprints and year-round operation, it’s a turnkey dark ride system beneficial for operators looking to expand their offerings with lower infrastructure requirements, faster installation, and reduced operational costs.
“Zoos and aquariums are looking for ways to expand guest offerings year-round,” said Rolf Paegert, CEO, Sally Dark Rides.
“The Mini™ provides a flexible, turnkey solution that delivers a complete dark ride experience with a smaller footprint, lower costs, and faster ROI.”
Meanwhile, each installation includes Sally’s signature elements – animatronics, 4D special effects, projection mapping, interactive media, and trackless ride vehicles — all optimized for space efficiency and throughput of up to 200 guests per hour.

Furthermore, Sally has stated that pricing of the attraction oscillates between $4–$5 million USD. “The Mini™ offers a compelling entry point for smaller attractions or institutions seeking an immersive, family-friendly dark ride that can be easily refreshed through interchangeable story media and scenic environments,” concluded Sally Dark Rides.
