Shanghai Changfeng Ocean World acknowledge inclusivity

Listen to this article

A day out to remember took place at Shanghai Changfeng Ocean World in Putuo District as a group of children with autism enjoyed a wonderful ocean world voyage of delight.

The children were inspired and educated about marine life and discovered the wonders of the ocean world as part of a special tour of the attraction. The guests were also presented with gifts from Merlin Entertainments, who runs Ocean World. The event was part of Merlin Entertainment’s initiative to welcome guests with autism to the Chinese attraction.

The Ocean World has been acknowledged as an important reference of Science in Shanghai during the last two decades. This is in spite of the difficult challenges faced during the last few years in the country. However, the route map to brighter times gives optimism in the region.

“Merlin remains positive that the market for location-based entertainment and themed experiences in China will continue to recover; particularly with the Chinese government’s ongoing supportive policies and the refreshed desire by consumers to spend quality bonding time with families and friends,” said Scott O’Neil, chief executive of Merlin Entertainments.
