Superman Experience: Defenders Unite has been announced as the latest headline attraction for Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood in Burbank, California, with opening set for 18 April 2026. The new experience, developed by Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences in collaboration with DC Studios, will operate on the iconic studio’s Stage 5 as a ticketed add‑on, giving the tour a fresh DC anchor built around James Gunn’s 2025 Superman film. For the attractions industry, the project illustrates how studios continue to extend movie IP into high‑capacity, location‑based entertainment.
Billed as a walkthrough and live gameplay attraction, Superman Experience: Defenders Unite combines physical sets, audio‑animatronic figures, 3D media and interactive technology. Guests enter the Fortress of Solitude, where they are recruited by Superman, granted Kryptonian abilities and sent on a training circuit that includes a stop at the Kent Farm with Krypto the Superdog. Motion‑capture systems, active 3D glasses and spatial audio are used to simulate flight and give teams a shared sense of agency as they move through the story.
The narrative culminates in a battle with DC Super‑Villain Darkseid as participants work together to protect Metropolis. Throughout the Superman Experience: Defenders Unite mission, individual and team scores are logged and displayed in real time to encourage repeat visits and social sharing. The attraction also includes themed retail and F&B touchpoints, providing additional revenue streams and opportunities to extend dwell time on the lot.
