The Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) has released its 2024 Index covering the visitor attractions industry and attendance figures.
The report documents visitor numbers stabilising last year, as travel and tourism figures return to pre-pandemic numbers.

Furthermore, the combined attendance of the top 25 theme parks globally grew 2.4% in 2024 to almost 246 million.
In general, the leading parks in the mature markets of the U.S., Japan, and western Europe saw flat to modest changes in attendance, while the leading internationally branded parks in China saw notable continued growth and registered record years.
Focussing on Europe, the top 10 amusement / theme parks in Europe based on attendance in 2024 are:
- Disneyland Park at Disneyland Paris, Marne-la-Vallée, France – Attendance: 10,214 (-1.8% change from 2023).
- Europa-Park, Rust, Germany – Attendance: 6,200 (+3.3% change from 2023).
- Efteling, Kaatsheuvel, Netherlands – Attendance: 5,600 (+0.7% change from 2023).
- Walt Disney Studios Park at Disneyland Paris, Marne-la-Vallée, France – Attendance: 5,598 (-1.8% change from 2023).
- Tivoli Gardens, Copenhagen, Denmark – Attendance: 4,250 (+5.4% change from 2023).
- PortAventura, Salou, Spain – Attendance: 3,800 (-4.4% change from 2023).
- Gardaland, Castelnuovo del Garda, Italy – Attendance: 3,000 (-2.3% change from 2023).
- Parc Astérix, Plailly, France – Attendance: 2,842 (+1.0% change from 2023).
- Puy du Fou, Les Epesses, France – Attendance: 2,800 (+12.0% change from 2023).
- Alton Towers, Staffordshire, England – Attendance: 2,500 (+6.4% change from 2023).
The 2024 TEA Global Experience Index studies the sector by region – The Americas, Asia-Pacific (APAC), Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA), in addition to the global market as a whole. It is a definitive and widely cited global resource benefiting the international attractions industry.
