Warner Bros. Discovery is studying the possibility of licensing its DC figures to theme parks around the world, including Universal Studios.
Rides focussing on Batman, Superman and DC Comic characters could soon by a reality in a host of theme parks. As per Bloomberg, Warner Bros. Discovery Inc. is in discussions with theme park operators to license its DC comic-book heroes for new rides.
The company currently licenses its DC properties to Six Flags Entertainment Corporation, where visitors can sample Batman: The Ride, Justice League: Battle for Metropolis and Lex Luthor: Drop of Doom.
It represents another transformational shift in the entertainment landscape after Netflix announced on Friday that it had formed a strategic alliance with Warner Bros. Discovery to buy the Hollywood-based studio and streaming business for $72 billion.
