Listen to this article

Riyadh could be the home to the tallest building in the world in the coming years.

Rising a staggering 1.2 miles high (6336ft), the eye-catching skyscraper would be constructed by the experienced architects Foster + Partners according to media reports.

Fosters will also be working on the expansion of the King Salman International Airport, which is situated close by the high-rise building, making the tower an attractive option for business ventures.

The skyscraper would become the world’s tallest building, being over twice the height of the current record holder, 2716ft-high Burj Khalifa in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Once built, the tower will revolutionise the views across the Saudi capital and beyond and add to the exponential growth in which Saudi Arabia is developing.
