Zierer has unveiled its first family roller coaster utilising a magnetic disk launch.
The company’s most popular roller coaster now features a cutting-edge launch technology.
“The new development from Zierer will expand the product portfolio in the future as the Discovery Launch Coaster,” announced Zierer.
“The Discovery Launch Coaster is carried using a newly developed magnetic disk launch. Among other things, the magnetic disc launch ensures that passengers experience catapult-like acceleration even without a lift.
“The low-wear and low-maintenance drive system not only offers a new level of driving pleasure, but also enables shorter acceleration distances or even the option of reversing, among other things.”
Zierer further detailed its new line product: “These features provide new, more flexible design options for the layouts, as the coaster can now also be set up on more compact surfaces. The magnetic disc launch also guarantees a high availability of the system due to the simpler and more compact technology compared to other launch drives.
