In recognition of its outstanding business success in international markets, virtual queuing systems group Lo-Q has won a 2011 Queen’s Award for International Trade.

Over the past three years, the company more than doubled its exports and increased overseas sales by 120 per cent, generating export revenues of £35m during this period.

Over 90 per cent of Lo-Q’s sales are now overseas, primarily in the US, with growing presence in Australia, Italy, Spain and Germany, in addition to its domestic UK market.

CEO Tom Burnet commented: "This prestigious award recognises the success we have had in establishing presence in the international trading market in a short period of time.

"Our dedication to innovation and technology has helped us become the leading provider of virtual queuing systems for the amusement industry around the world and we are proud to be recognised for our efforts."
