Manchester United have announced the name of its new entertainment centres across China. The sites will be known as ‘Theatre of Dreams.’

The entertainment complexes are being built in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenyang and Changsha. Theatre of Dreams in Beijing is near completion. The centres will feature a number of state-of-the-art activities and attractions, including an interactive journey through Manchester United’s 142-year history.

Visitors will also be able to experience immersive Manchester United football gaming and enjoy a shopping outlet featuring the largest selection of official Manchester United merchandise in China.

There will also be a branded dining experience which offers authentic food from China and the UK.

Richard Arnold, group managing director of Manchester United, commented on the aim of Theatre of Dreams: “Theatre of Dreams is an entirely new sports entertainment experience.

“It is our home away from home. Sir Bobby Charlton famously described our Old Trafford stadium as ‘the theatre of dreams’, and now we are able to bring that dream alive for our Chinese fans.

“This represents a strengthening of our longstanding commitment to China and a deepening of our relationship with Manchester United fans across the country.

“Our guests will discover new, exciting, fun, and inspiring ways to engage with the club and one another,” Arnold added.

Theatre of Dreams in Beijing is set to open in late 2020.
