Plans are in motion to develop a Dinosaur Kingdom theme park in Wallkill, Orange County, New York.

The park would be located not far from the Legoland New York Resort in Goshen. It would feature animatronic and static dinosaurs. The edutainment park would also be home to a fossil dig area, a train ride and playgrounds.

Neil Gold, an investor in real estate and property developer, is behind the project. He hopes to get the venture up and running in spring 2021. Gold described the prospect of the theme park as “incredible stuff.” “It would be a great benefit to all of Orange County,” he said.

Steve Neuhaus, Orange County executive, commented: “I think this is going to be good, especially when we have a lot of heartache over the last nine months.

“I think it’s going to be just a boost of some positive things to look forward to, and I couldn’t be more excited about it.”
