‘Festival of the Lion King’ is returning to Disney’s Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney World this summer. The much-loved show will be performed into a new format, including updated choreography and adjustments onstage and backstage to allow for social distancing.

The seating for the audience will also be modified to accommodate safety regulations and so that it is in-line with other of Walt Disney World’s theatre experiences.

Festival of the Lion King is an original interpretation of Disney’s animated film The Lion King. The live stage musical performance combines song, dance, puppetry and visual effects to relive the story set in the African savanna with elephants, lions, giraffes, birds, gazelles and zebras.

An official date for the return of the beloved stage show at Disney’s Animal Kingdom has not yet been confirmed.
