The major theme parks in Florida are taking steps to deal with concerns about coronavirus, including executing enhanced cleaning practices and other precautionary measures.

Universal Orlando has announced they are carefully monitoring the situation and are in close contact with health officials.

Walt Disney World Resort said they are also following the situation closely and are in regular communication with health agencies. The theme park has also said it has restricted employee travel to countries deemed as high risk.

One preventative measure implemented by Disney is the placement of additional hand sanitizers throughout their parks and resorts.

In a statement about coronavirus, Universal Orlando said: “We are communicating with our team members and reinforcing our best-practice health and hygiene procedures. We are also educating them on basic preventive measures.

“In addition, we are reviewing and enhancing our already aggressive cleaning protocols. And for the comfort and convenience of our guests, we are increasing the number of hand sanitizer units in our parks,” Universal continued.
