New zip line set to soar across Colorado

Listen to this article

A new zip line is planned to open across the Colorado River. The attraction will be located at Eagle Rim Park, a 12-acre site in Colorado, featuring a skate park, playground, trail system and picnic shelters.

The zip wire will soar over the Colorado River and land on the other side at Las Colonias. The flight will take daredevil users 1,000 feet over the river, across Butterfly Lake and over parkland.

The attraction is being planned by Bonsai Design, providers of turn-key adventure solutions. Bonsai Design has offices on the Las Colonias Business Park in Columbia.

The company is applying for planning permission for the zip wire. It are also working on the design of the attraction, which it hopes to have in operation before the end of the summer.
