Preparations in place for new splash park at Radley Beach, Canada

Listen to this article

A new splash park and playground are coming to Radley Beach in Burn Lake, Canada. During the past week, trees have been cleared to make way for the new splash park.

Plans for the Burns Lake Splash Park were given the green light back in February 2020 by the local council. Proposals for the site were initiated in 2018 but were dropped several months later, only to be picked up again in April 2019.

The original plans included a splash park and ice rink but was subsequently converted into a splash park and new playground. The ice rink project was rejected due to the high costs involved in its construction.

It is hoped that work on the project will start in two weeks’ time, with completion due on July 1, 2020, though delays could occur due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Playquest, a Canadian splash park and playground build and repair company, have been contracted to work on the project.
