Saraya Aqaba waterpark Jordan due to open in July

Saraya Aqaba waterpark, the largest waterpark in Jordan, is due to open on July 3, 2021.

The waterpark will be home to over 25 rides and attractions, including slides and experiences. It will occupy a site of more than 28,500 square metres.

The rides at the site are inspired by many of the well-known landmarks that Jordan is home to. The attractions include the Wadi Rum Race, Aqua Jerash and Dead Sea Drop.

The Wadi Run Race is a competitive multi-racer and the Dead Sea Drop takes riders down a vertical plunge. Aqua Jerash is for younger guests and comprises of waterfalls, slides and rotating water jets.

Chris Van Der Merwe, general manager of Saraya Aqaba Waterpark, said: “We are excited to announce that Saraya Aqaba Waterpark will be the first of its kind waterpark in Aqaba and the largest in the kingdom.

“At Saraya Aqaba Waterpark, guests from Jordan and around the world are in for an aquatic adventure like no other with slides, rides and experiences for guests of all ages,” Chris Van Der Merwe added.
