Listen to this article

SeaWorld Abu Dhabi is to open its doors to the largest aquarium in the world. Located on Yas Island, the marine-life destination is on track to be completed in 2022.

When it is in operation, the aquarium will hold 25 million litres of water and be home to over 68,000 marine animals, including schools of fish, sharks, manta rays, sea turtles, and many more exciting species of marine life.

The highlight of the centre will be the “Endless Vista”, a 65ft-tall vertical window that showcases aquatic displays over a number of levels.

Next door to the aquarium will be the Yas Research and Rescue Centre, an education hub designed to offer visitors information and insight into the world of marine life ecosystems and the indigenous Gulf.

The centre will be the first research, rescue and rehabilitation destination of its kind in the UAE.
