Sesame Workshop, the non-profit organisation that produces educational children’s programs, is rolling out new content designed to help families stay physically and mentally healthy during the ongoing COVID-19 crisis.

The launch is part of Sesame Workshop’s Caring for Each Other initiative. The animations explore ways to live healthily and activities families can do in inspire math, science, reading and more.

Elmo’s new “Washy Wash” song is featured. The Sesame Street Muppets also learn how to sneeze properly and how “caring for yourself means caring for others.” The animations are available in 19 different languages.

Dr. Jeanette Betancourt, senior vice president of US Social Impact for Sesame Workshop, commented: “Sesame Street is there for children and families whether it’s a sunny day or a stormy one, and unfortunately many families are facing unprecedented challenges right now.

“Through ‘Caring for Each Other,’ we’re committed to supporting families for the duration of this crisis and beyond — equipping them with the tools they need to get through this together and look to the future with hope and optimism.”

The educational animations are available through a number of partners in the US and internationally, including PBS stations, PBS Kids and HBO.
