Abu Dhabi theme parks recognise efforts of frontline workers

Listen to this article

Theme parks in Abu Dhabi have been celebrating the efforts of frontline workers’ responses to the challenges presented by the Covid-19 pandemic.

During the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2020, Abu Dhabi’s Yas Island was lit up in blue for the weekend of racing.

The illumination was a mark of respect for the essential workers in frontline jobs across the UAE. As well as the visual display of appreciation, more than 600 tickets were given to frontline workers and their families to watch the Formula 1 race.

The free passes were to say thank-you to for the hard work and devotion essential workers have shown throughout the health crisis.
