Atlantis Aquaventure in Dubai undergoes massive extension

Atlantis Aquaventure, a huge waterpark on Palm Jumeirah in Dubai, has undergone a massive extension, with more water and additional rides and attractions.

The Middle East’s largest waterpark has gone through the “biggest waterpark expansion in history,”, with 5.5 hectares being added to the already 17-hectare site.

The waterpark now comprises of a combined 79 rides, including the world’s longest water slide which takes guests down a 450-metre fall. In addition, Atlantis Aquaventure is home to 26 ‘marine experiences’, water sport activities and 26 F&B outlets.

Pre-expansion, Atlantis Aquaventure featured 18 million litres of water. The site’s water capacity now stands at 23.5 million litres.

The beach at Atlantis Aquaventure has also been extended. It is now double its former size, at just under 1 kilometre in length.

The new extended waterpark is opening in phases, with the first phase having opened on March 1, 2021.
