Disneyland Paris is to introduce a new accessibility program designed to empower visitors with special needs and disabilities. The program will enable guests to experience the park based on their own autonomy evaluation.
The program will be introduced on International Day of Persons with Disabilities, taking place on December 3, 2021.
The initiative will mean that Disneyland Paris will no longer determine attraction access based on disability categories. Instead, it will allow guests to assess their own autonomy as a means of deciding which attractions they can experience.
Daniel Delcourt, senior vice president and chief operating officer at Disneyland Paris, commented on the accessibility program: “Our new accessibility program is a major step forward in our commitment to accessibility at Disneyland Paris, enabling every guest to experience the magic of Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park.
“Our guests and cast members have always been at the heart of our approach to accessibility. Disneyland Paris is committed to listening and learning from our guests, cast members and accessibility experts to develop new standards of inclusion in the French theme park industry,” Delcourt continued.
