Festival time at Walibi Rhône-Alpes

Listen to this article

Guests visiting French amusement park Walibi Rhône-Alpes this summer can enjoy three fresh rides from Zamperla in the new Festival City zone.

Extending from the entrance of the park to the historic village, Festival City was launched in spring and offers a lovely, colourful and warm atmosphere where visitors can soak up the spirit of distant and exotic lands. It’s the latest of several new and rethemed zones to be added to the park in recent years by operator Compagnie des Alpes.

The new rides are headlined by Hurricane – pictured above – a 32-seater Zamperla Vertical Swing. It is the first ride of its kind installed in a French amusement park and has a minimum passenger height  requirement of 1.2m.

Supporting attractions comprise a 24-seater Rockin’ Tug called Dock ‘n’ Roll, complete with a custom colour scheme, and a Samba Balloon ride seating 32.
