Ghoulish home improvements come to Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion

Listen to this article

Disneyland’s much-loved Haunted Mansion has undergone a makeover and is ready to open on April 30 with new additions and updates.

Changes have been made both internally and externally to the classic attraction. Outside, there is a new collection of headstones set within new foliage. Jokes and puns are hidden inside the tombstones, which line the entrance to the attraction where guests queue.

The mansion’s interior has been updated with the walkway to the Doom Buggies boasting new wallpaper, carpet and drapes. The ‘April to December’ portrait is now on display where guests step into the attraction. Another new addition is a cat statue with a glowing eye.

The Haunted Mansion joins Snow White’s Enchanted Wish in a series of attractions that have been updated at Disneyland Park since it has been closed.

The resort is set to reopen on April 30 following a year of closure due to Covid-19.
