Lego Movie World to open at Legoland California on May 27

It has been confirmed that Lego Movie World will open at Legoland California on May 27. The new immersive land is inspired by The Lego Movie and The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part.

Lego Movie World features six interactive attractions, including the land’s flagship ride, Emmet’s Flying Adventure. This family-friendly flying theatre ride takes riders on a journey on Emmet’s flying sofa. The attraction comprises of a full-dome virtual screen, as guests fly over Cloud Cuckoo Land, Outer Space and Pirates Cove.

Other attractions at Lego Movie World include Queen Watevra’s Carousel, Benny’s Play Ship, Emmet’s Super Suite, and Build Watevra You Wa’Na Build.

The new immersive land also boasts themed F&F and the Awesome Shop selling merchandise and souvenirs.

Peter Ronchetti, general manager at Legoland California Resort, shared his enthusiasm of the imminent opening of the new land. “We can’t wait to see the faces on all the children as they interact within the creative world of Bricksburg and experience the incredible Masters of Flight ride which is taking the traditional soaring-type of ride to new heights,” said Ronchetti.

Lego Movie World was originally due to open in 2020 but was postponed because of Covid-19 disruption.
