Legoland California Resort to reopen with Preview Days on April 1

Legoland California Resort is to reopen on April 1, 2021 with Preview Days, providing visitors with access to select rides and attractions. The theme park will officially reopen on April 15, 2021.

Legoland California Resort was forced to close its gates a year ago due to Covid-19 restrictions. In early March 2021, California Governor Gavin Newsom introduced new rules changing the state’s entire “Blueprint for a Safer Economy.” Under the system, four tiers are retained which determine how various businesses can operate in each California county. Under these rules, which take effect on April 1, theme parks in California may open at 15 percent capacity when their home county enters the Red tier.

On reopening, Legoland California Resort will follow California’s health and safety guidelines, including limited capacity, cashless payments, social distancing and enhancing sanitisation regimes.

The Park Preview Days offer access to a number of rides, including Driving School, Lego Technic Coaster, Coastersaurus and Fairy Tale Brook. There will also be socially distant meet and greet character sessions, as well as live entertainment, access to Miniland USA and dining options.

Kurt Stocks, president of Legoland California Resort, commented: “It’s been a long and challenging year for all of us and we are extremely excited to be able to start reopening our Resort not only to our guests so they can build family memories, but for our staff who have been patiently waiting to return to work.”
