Pandemonium to close at Drayton Manor

Listen to this article

Drayton Manor, the theme park, accommodation and zoo in Staffordshire, is to close its Pandemonium ride to create space for investment and to expand the park.

The gravity-defying Pandemonium attraction opened at Drayton Manor in 2004. The ride features swinging gondolas that propel passengers into the air.

In August 2020, Drayton Manor was sold to Looping Group as part of a pre-pack administration.

For several days at the end of October, the theme park gave visitors the chance to experience the iconic Pandemonium swing before it finally closes.

A spokesperson for the park said: “While it’s the end of an era for Pandemonium, we have big plans in the pipeline to expand our offering and make the park as exciting as possible for our guests, and we can’t wait to reveal the new developments for 2022.”
