Slagharen, the Wild West adventure theme park in Holland, opened to the public on Saturday May 22.

The opening of the theme park follows the opening of Slagharen holiday park, which has been accessible since the beginning of April, 2021.

Theme parks and zoos in Holland have been permitted to open since May 19.

All attractions at Slagharen theme park are operational, with the exception of Wild West Adventure, El Teatro, Sky Tower and Phileas Fun House.

In 2020, the amusement park carried out some renovation work, which included the refurbishing of the 1978 monorail.

The attraction is now known as the Pioneer Express 62. The nostalgic monorail ride is focused on the rich history of the Holland theme park. Its new name is in reference to the year the theme park was originally opened, when it was known as Shetland Ponypark Slagharen. The new-look monorail is designed in a classic western style.

The new Dunkin Donuts outlet is due to open at Slagharen later in 2021.
