Gerstlauer's latest attraction, Rewind Racers, has officially opened at Adventure City in Anaheim, California.

With a track length of 180m and a height of 12m, the coaster complements other family-based attractions at Adventure City.

In a unique twist to the traditional roller coaster experience, guests are pulled up the first hill lift backwards before dropping forward through the ride and, finally, experiencing it all again facing backwards.

"We wanted something that was unique that would be exciting but smooth for the kids," said Allan Ansdell, president of Adventure City.

"It provides just the right amount of excitement. And, obviously, going backward on a ride is a lot of fun," he told the Orange County Register.
