Efteling is to host its annual Summer Efteling from 30 June until 3 September.
During that time the park will have extended evening hours, closing at 10 pm on most days.
This year Summer Efteling will have five themed squares, each devoted to delivering a bespoke experience to visitors. For 2023, two new squares will join the existing three adding a Summer Beach and Ruigrijk Plein area to the park for visitors to explore.
The Summer Beach will offer a beach-vibe experience with seating for relaxing in, sandcastle building, summer music and shows with popular Efteling characters Jokie and Jet. This beach will complete the other squares of Fata Morgana Plein, Max & Moritz Plein, and Ton van de Ven Plein.
Meanwhile, Ruigrijk will feature experiments related to the rides and the chance for visitors to hear their screams included in the new Ruigrijk music remix.
Other activities include face painting, dressing up as a fairy in the Ton van de Ven Plein and listening to the traditional brass band in the Max & Moritz Plein.
Another key date of the summer of Efteling is Fairytale Day, which will be held on 7 July. Efteling state that across the park, staff will read modern and classic children’s tales throughout the day with a few visitors along the way “to honor the park’s magical heritage.”
