After launching six existing 360 Play family entertainment centres (FEC), DP Leisure has announced it is to open a seventh UK site in 2019, at Rushden Lakes in Northamptonshire.

Already a well-established and successful brand within the UK’s children’s entertainment centre sector – with sites in Milton Keynes, Stevenage, Leicester, Basildon, Redditch and Farnborough – the latest addition to the group will appear alongside Rushden Lakes shopping centre’s various retail, food & beverage and leisure/entertainment options.

Designed by sister company DP Associates (DPA), the newest 360 Play centre will be housed in a 20,000 sq ft unit spread over one floor. Inside it will feature the familiar array of fun, active and creative play opportunities the brand has become known for.

The attractions at 360 Play Rushden Lakes will include a multi-level central play frame from SPI Global Play, a dodgem car track and carousel from IE Park/SOLI Bumper Cars and the creative play area called 360 Street. The latter will comprise a series of play shops and other replica buildings including a supermarket, pizza parlour, vets, fire station, garage and more – all designed and built in-house in workshops at the company’s headquarters in Milton Keynes. A party zone and a dedicated toddlers’ area will be among many other elements on offer, alongside a family café and comfortable seating areas.

“We are delighted to announce plans for the seventh 360 Play at Rushden Lakes,” says founder and managing director Duncan Phillips. “For us this site offers an excellent population base within our usual catchment area of up to a 45 minute drive away.”

The new centre will employ approximately 40 members of staff and opening is planned for winter 2019.
