The oldest roller coaster at Busch Gardens Williamsburg Loch Ness Monster is being revamped for next season.

Busch Gardens Williamsburg confirmed the attractions’ enhancement on X, previously known as Twitter: “The legend lives on! The world’s first interlocking loop coaster celebrates 46 years as our most iconic attraction with a full restoration in 2024, including ALL-NEW thematic and experiential elements. Stay tuned for exciting details coming soon!”

The Loch Ness Monster has been giving ride fans thrills all back to 1978. At the time it held a world’s first award in that it was the first roller coaster in the world with interlocking loops.

This upgrade will be the second major overall in the timeline of The Loch Ness Monster with new trains being created in celebration of the ride’s 40th anniversary back in 2018.
