Mickey Shorts Theatre’s ‘Vacation Fun’ has been launched at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The series of cartoon shorts celebrate the adventures of Mickey and Minnie Mouse as they travel across the globe.

The ten-minute Vacation Fun cartoon combines new animation with clips from cartoon shorts of Mickey Mouse, all created since 2013 for the Disney Channel.

The Vacation Fun cartoon opened at Disney’s Hollywood Studios on March 4. The launch of the cartoon shorts accompanied the debut of the theme park’s new Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway trackless dark ride.

Heather Fleming, Walt Disney Imagineering’s assistant producer, said: “When you’re going on vacation, you can plan all you want. But sometimes things just go awry.

“In the end, it’s all about making memories. That’s what is truly important. We get to watch Mickey, Minnie and Pluto realise that in this new short.”

Fleming described what visitors to the Vacation Fun attraction can expect: “In the queue are five digital posters showing various moments from their vacation memories. When the doors open and guests are brought into the theatre, they can see we’re going to celebrate Mickey even more. The redesigned theatre features rich colours and fabrics.”
