Emerald Park has announced the names of its duel intertwining rollercoasters set for the park’s first themed land, Tír Na nÓg.

Named ‘Na Fianna Force’ and ‘The Quest’, the attractions will become the longest intertwining family and thrill coaster in Europe.

Na Fianna Force’ is a suspended thrill coaster, reaches heights of 32-metres (108ft) and will reach speeds of up to 90km/h (56mph). The roller coaster is named after the legendary band of Celtic warriors, ‘Na Fianna Force’ and features inversions such as a 360 zero-G roll and an upward helix.

“A true warrior feels the fierceness of the forge fire,” said the park on its social media. “Embark on a trial of strength as you set out to prove your might and ear your ranking as a true Na Fianna warrior.”

On board ‘The Quest’, a family boomerang rollercoaster, riders will travel on a quest through the mystical land of Tír na nÓg. The coaster will travel both forwards and backwards and flies high towards the ruined castle tower travelling at speeds up to 60km/h (37mph) and heights of 25-metres (82ft).

“Retrace the steps of Oisin and Niamh, but don’t let your feet touch the ground or you will soon find that time moves differently in Tír Na nÓg,” explains Emerald Park.
