Dollywood’s Harvest Festival is back this season with a number of changes. Presented by Humana, the annual festival is taking place on September 25 until October 31, 2020.

In the evenings, Great Pumpkin Luminights will take centre stage, presented by Covenant Health. The much-loved event promises to be more glowing than ever with vibrant pumpkin displays. This year, visitors can purchase reduced price tickets to the Great Pumpkin Luminights, which provide entry after 5pm.

The Harvest Festival will boast a fresh new look, with visually stimulating landscaping techniques designed to immerse visitors of all ages. New to this year’s festival are displays of huge pumpkins, each ranging from 800 to 1,500-plus lbs. The pumpkins have been provided by growers on the East Coast.

More than 800 concerts will take place throughout the festival, with music from Southern gospel and bluegrass artists performing on one of the eight different outdoor stages at Dollywood.

As always, culinary delights will be an integral part of the Harvest Festival, with smoked beef brisket, sweet potato casserole, pumpkin praline funnel cake, fried green tomatoes, and a whole host of seasonal dishes and delicacies to warm up visitors.

Speaking about this year’s Harvest Festival, Dolly Parton said: “We know folks are ready to get out and enjoy the colours of fall and the fresh, crisp Smoky Mountain air.

“This year has been challenging for everyone, but we hope the comfort they feel from coming and visiting us gives them that warm, familiar feeling they’ve shared with their friends and loved ones for so many years here at Dollywood. We have a few surprises planned this year, and I think everyone will agree this is that special escape ‘back home’ we all need right now.”
