Toverland has a new dragon themed attraction at its resort courtesy of Intamin.

Dragonwatch is a parachute tower attraction which rises 20-metres and floats up and down giving a joyous ride.

The attraction is composed of six parachutes, one on each cantilever, with three passengers back-to-back making for six passengers.

Intamin state that Dragonwatch is also “an engineering marvel as its newly designed innovative belt drive system ensures a smooth and quiet operation, keeping the excitement high and the noise low.”

By night, a ride on board Dragonwatch is heightened by an impressive lights dance beamed onto the tower and its parachutes.

The ride is part of a new themed land called Avalon and Toverland has its new fire-breathing emblem in Dragonwatch.

The dragon is part of the medieval themed area with four new attractions in total being launched together. The theme park has invested a total of 11.5 million euros in this project.

Toverland owner Jean Gelissen sr. and general director Jean Gelissen jr. jointly opened the new attractions, stating: “By creating this expansion, we added more thematisation, dynamic and attraction value to this area. Avalon has grown up”, says Jean jr..

“We have worked with passion and craftmanship on this expansion and I’m so incredibly proud of the end result.”
