Europe's leading theme park and amusement specialists enjoyed a successful trip to Amsterdam this week for the annual Euro Attractions Show (EAS).

EAS 2014 closed its doors this afternoon (September 25), and according to the latest figures from event organiser the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA), the number of buyers attending the show was 6,900, up 38 per cent on 5,000 last year.

More than 400 manufacturers, suppliers and consultants from 33 countries displayed the latest innovations across more than 11,000sq.m of exhibit space.

Spread across two halls at the RAI Exhibition Centre, just south of Amsterdam city centre, the exhibition floor showcased innovative products and services in more than 100 product categories that range from roller coasters to redemption products, food and beverages, ticketing systems, water rides and 4D theatres.

The world's biggest theme park equipment suppliers all occupied space at EAS, including ABC Rides, Antonio Zamperla, Fabbri Group, Intamin, Interlink, Mack Rides, Preston & Barbieri, Premier Rides, Pax Company, Martin & Vleminckx Rides, Huss Park Attractions, Falgas, Bertazzon and LS Game.

They were joined by waterpark specialists including Polin, WhiteWater, Murphy's Waves, Empex Watertoys, ProSlide Technology and FlowRider.

Karen Staley, vice president of IAAPA Europe, said: "Not only theme and amusement park professionals will find the latest products, but the show is also an eye opener for water parks, zoos, aquariums, family entertainment centres, museums, carnivals, shopping centres, casinos and concert facilities."
