Construction of Europe’s first ever Flight Tower has commenced at Salt Ayre Leisure Centre in Lancaster, UK.

Produced by Hangfast, a British engineering company, the multi-level outdoor attraction will see adventure enthusiasts make their way up a 60ft tower before abseiling, zip-lining or free falling from ‘The Drop’.

“Being a UK first, the installation of this magnificent piece of equipment is a significant coup for the Lancaster district,” said Darren Clifford, head of tourism and leisure for Lancaster City Council.

“As an integral part of the £5m ($6.2m) regeneration of our Salt Ayre Leisure Centre which is being co-ordinated by our developer Alliance Leisure, it is anticipated to attract more than 8,000 visitors from far and wide to the centre each year.”
