Futuroscope will this summer give life to its new water park: Aquascope

Opening in July, Futuroscope has revealed the venue will be an indoor water park with unique digital experiences in Europe.

Futuroscope, who welcomed almost two million visitors in 2023, has invested 300 million euros transforming the park with a new hotel zone themed with Station Cosmos, a hotel that simulates a space station, and Ecolodgee, an ecological proposal and reunion with nature.

Now, Futuroscope welcomes on the horizon Aquascope. The water park will have a covered area of 6,000 m2 with a capacity of up to 1,500 people. Aquascope represents the largest investment made by Futuroscope to date, with close to €60 million. The aim is to persuade visitors to stay half a day longer in the “Futuroscope universe”.

Polin Waterparks, a leading specialist in manufacturing water rides, are to oversee the design and build of eight slide attractions as part of the Aquascope water paradise.

Aquascope will consist of various ‘area’s: In the Sensations area, there will be eight vertiginous slides, one of them unique in Europe, along with a wave pool, a suspended net and a bar complete this area full of emotions.

In the Immersion space, for the first time in Europe, be prepared for a futuristic world with an aquatic cinema, an underwater viewing experience and a video mapping show on the water. Produced by Moment Factory, a Canadian company, this area will leave you in awe with its special effects and digital scenography. Pure Futuroscope DNA in an aquatic version.
For the little ones, the Aquafun area offers themed fun around the mascot, the Kraki octopus, with slides and activities adapted for children from three years old.

Discussing the transformation of Futuroscope, Rodolphe Bouin, president of the Park, said: “Our goal is to consolidate ourselves as an attractive destination for short family stays. We want more and more visitors to come from further afield, including nearby international destinations such as Spain and Belgium, and stay longer with us. And all this, while staying true to our DNA of offering unique and innovative experiences.”
