Gulf Business Machines (GBM) a leading provider of IT solutions, has entered into a partnership to distribute Omnico’s solutions across the Middle East.

The partnership will see GBM distribute Omnico’s suite of point-of-sale engagement software and services products to customers in the retail, hospitality and destination markets.

The Middle East, led by the UAE, is expected to emerge as the major destination for theme parks by 2020, driven by increasing investments from international players in entertainment, leisure projects, shopping malls, and recreational infrastructure.

GBM said the partnership with Omnico will help address the client needs that emerge as a result of this burgeoning growth, with the deal aimed at providing customers in the region with Omnico’s expertise and unique software solutions across retail and destination markets.

GBM will provide clients with regionally based sales, service and support teams based throughout the Middle East and Pakistan.

Current Omnico customers include Merlin Entertainments, HMV, Six Flags, Excess Baggage, Jaeger and the National Trust.

Andreas Weiss, GBM’s vice president of platform solutions, commented: “As Omnico looks to expand their business to the Middle East, we at GBM are delighted to welcome them to the region and are excited to enter into this partnership.

“GBM has been serving the GCC with our wide portfolio of IT solutions for over 25 years. We now look forward to providing our retail, destination, and hospitality customers with Omnico’s unique products.”
