The latest IAAPA Expo Asia is in the book with the 2023 edition.

The premier conference and trade show for the global attractions industry, ended recently and the event, held at the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, showcased the latest innovations, trends, and advancements in the amusement, theme park, and attractions sectors. 

Over the course of four days, IAAPA Expo Asia 2023 welcomed 5,330 registered attendees, including 3,764 qualified buyers. Guests represented a diverse range of companies, totaling 2,145 buying companies in attendance.

As a global event, IAAPA Expo Asia attracted attendees from 75 different countries and regions. 

The exhibition floor featured an array of cutting-edge products, services, and solutions from 287 exhibiting companies, including 64 first-time exhibitors. Attendees had the opportunity to explore a vast showcase of state-of-the-art rides, attractions, technology, and games.

From the engaging Opening Ceremony to exclusive receptions and after-hours gatherings, participants had ample occasions to build relationships, exchange ideas, and celebrate the industry’s achievements. 

IAAPA Expo Asia 2023 also included an opening reception at Universal Studios Singapore, and fostered connections and collaboration among attendees. 

The event’s comprehensive educational program also included insightful sessions, seminars, and panel discussions, providing invaluable insights into industry best practices, emerging trends, and key challenges faced by attractions professionals.

“This year’s event allowed our industry to gather in the Asia Pacific region for an important expo event,” said Jakob Wahl, IAAPA’s president and chief executive officer. “Our Singapore show will serve as marker in our industry as we continue regional recovery efforts and is our new baseline for how we grow in the future.” 

IAAPA is already looking forward to the next edition of IAAPA Expo Asia 2024, taking place in Bangkok, Thailand, 27-30 May, which has 115 confirmed exhibitors so far. IAAPA said that “this flagship event will continue to empower the attractions industry, serving as a catalyst for growth, innovation, and success.”

The first face to face industry show in Asia after three years is a major step forward for a Chinese market which as yet to fully recover however, is still growing its marketing momentum in South Asia and Middle East region with a strong platform to build in the coming years.
