The booth of Alterface was a buzz of activity with brisk business and scooping three awards.
A spokesperson for Alterface described its movements in Amsterdam: “IAAPA went really well for us! We had plenty of clients, partners, and friends stop by, which was great.
“On top of that, we picked up three awards! At the European Star Awards we got fourth place for Dämonen Gruft at Heide Park Resort (Europe’s Best New Media-Based Attractions 2024), second place for Sesame Street: Street Mission at PortAventura World (Europe’s Best Media-Based Rides) designed by Sally Dark Rides and featuring our interactive technology – and second place for Moviemax at the Park World Excellence Awards for Best Ride with Limited Budget.”
One of the main headlines coming out of IAAPA with Alterface was the unveiling of its new ride The Enchanted Greenhouse which is to be created at Six Flags Qiddiya. The company’s importance towards harnessing interactivity to engage its guests further in its attractions was another focal point during the week.
“We had a great press conference about The Enchanted Greenhouse at Six Flags Qiddiya City. Stephane had the chance to talk about its unique approach to interactivity. It’s not just about competition, but a journey where visitors must cooperate to discover the magical biosphere that surrounds them.
“This idea of going beyond the classical shooting gallery, towards cooperative and storytelling-based gameplay, is something we’re really focusing on.”
IAAPA Expo Europe from Amsterdam is in the books but there is not long to wait for the next IAAPA emanating from Orlando, Florida. And Alterface has big plans for the event.
“We’re excited for our upcoming demo in Orlando, where we’ll showcasing new gameplay possibilities for dark rides and walkthroughs. We’ll have a demonstration at our booth and attendees will be able to explore and test these experiences firsthand.”
