The family entertainment operator brings more than 20 attractions under one roof as the indoor theme park model continues to gain traction in the US market.
Atlanta is about to get its most ambitious indoor theme park yet. Thrillz High Flying Adventure Parks is opening a new venue near Spaghetti Junction, covering more than 50,000 square feet with over 20 attractions including a 35-foot slide tower, airbag obstacle courses, trampolines, sports courts and carnival-style rides.
The Atlanta site will be the brand’s third location, joining existing parks in Connecticut and Pennsylvania. For operators watching the indoor entertainment segment, it signals growing confidence in the format as a year-round, weather-independent alternative to traditional outdoor parks.
The property spans 56,000 square feet with ceiling heights of 35 to 40 feet – enough clearance to house a ride line-up that goes well beyond the trampoline park formula. The attraction mix includes a drop tower rising 40 feet, a Rush 360 pendulum swing, a spinning coaster, zip line, laser tag, VR experiences, ninja obstacle courses and a 10,000-square-foot soft play structure for younger children.
Thrillz was founded in 2018 by Rob and Lisa Cannon, following their dissatisfaction with the indoor entertainment options available at the time. Their daughter, Caroline ‘CC’ Cannon, the company’s vice president of strategic growth, described the Atlanta venue as the most complete realisation of the founders’ original concept. “Atlanta is a very heavily populated, family-oriented place that we really thought could benefit from having the fun and thrill and excitement of Thrillz,” she said.
The park is scheduled to open in July 2026. The venue also includes ten themed private party rooms – a clear nod to the group bookings and birthday market that has become central to the indoor family entertainment business model.
The Thrillz indoor theme park format addresses a persistent pain point for US visitors in states with extreme summer heat. Georgia’s summers routinely push temperatures past 35°C, and an air-conditioned venue with a full-scale thrill ride programme represents a direct commercial response to that.
