The Staffordshire park Drayton Manor has kicked off its 75th anniversary with a wonderful firework display and the opening of a new museum exhibiting more than 250 images of the history of Drayton Manor.

Since opening on 4 April,1950, Drayton Manor has evolved into the popular visitor attraction it is today.

Drayton Manor has achieved many milestones throughout its history such as the introduction of Shockwave in 1994, Europeโ€™s first stand-up roller coaster. Its water ride Stormforce 10 opened in 1999 with pop sensations Steps inaugurating the ride.ย

Meanwhile Drayton Manor received the full Thomas the Tank treatment when in 2008, the park launched Thomas Land, attracting greater numbers of families.

To further encourage visitation, Drayton Manor opened its four-star hotel in 2011.

And last year, Drayton Manor welcomes its latest thrill ride of Gold Rush. The mine train themed attraction was constructed by Intamin and is the worldโ€™s first ever roller coaster featuring two unique multi-directional sensations. The coaster takes pride of place in the Wild West-themed land of Frontier Falls.

Owned by the Looping Group since 2020, Drayton Manor has become a popular tourist destination thanks to its wide selection of rides and zoo, home to more than 100 species.
