Epic Universe debuts Universal Celestial Goodnight nighttime spectacular

Universal Orlando Resort has launched Universal Celestial Goodnight, a new nighttime spectacular at Universal Epic Universe that brings a large-scale finale to the park’s operating day. The show made its official debut on 7 July 2026 and now runs nightly at park close in Celestial Park.

The production transforms the park’s central hub with a synchronised display of fountains, lighting, music and fireworks. Universal says the show uses nearly 600 synchronised lighting fixtures, more than 350 fountains and seven million LED lights embedded throughout Celestial Park to create an immersive experience inspired by the stories found across the park’s five themed worlds.

Rather than focusing on a single intellectual property, Universal Celestial Goodnight celebrates the wider Epic Universe experience. The soundtrack and visual effects draw on SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic and Dark Universe, before culminating in a fireworks finale above Celestial Park.

The addition strengthens Epic Universe’s entertainment offer by encouraging guests to remain in the park until closing, increasing opportunities for evening dining, shopping and secondary spending. Nighttime spectaculars have long been a proven driver of guest satisfaction and length of stay, and the new production gives Universal’s newest park a signature closing experience comparable to those at its established Orlando parks.

Universal also confirmed that the show will form part of Universal Nights, a new limited-capacity after-hours event taking place on 3 and 17 October 2026. The separately ticketed evenings will allow guests to enjoy attractions, entertainment and character encounters after regular park closing, with admission including access to Universal Celestial Goodnight before the exclusive event begins. Tickets go on sale on 13 August.

The launch reflects Universal’s continued investment in live entertainment alongside rides and themed environments. By combining permanent infrastructure with a nightly multimedia production, the resort has added another reason for guests to extend their visit while giving Epic Universe a distinctive end-of-day experience that complements its portfolio of attractions.
