The four-day event at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre drew buyers and operators from 2,522 companies across the Asia-Pacific region and beyond.

IAAPA Expo Asia 2026 concluded on 12 June at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, bringing together 5,447 verified attendees and 3,655 qualified buyers from 2,522 companies. Built around the theme ‘Pursue the Wonder’, the event spanned five days of trade floor activity, education sessions, and industry networking.

The programme opened with a ceremony addressed by Miss Rosanna Law, secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism, followed by a reception at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort. EDUTours ran to Kai Tak Sports Park, Ocean Park Hong Kong, and Kidztopia Hong Kong, giving delegates ground-level access to current developments across the city’s attractions landscape.

Su Zhigang, founder and chairman of Chimelong Group, headlined the Leadership Breakfast – one of the week’s marquee sessions for senior executives. Su was inducted into the IAAPA Hall of Fame in 2025, the first Chinese industry leader to receive that distinction. Marilyn Tham of the Hong Kong Tourism Board was among the other prominent speakers drawn into the programme.

‘What we’ve seen this week is a clear signal of where the industry is headed,’ said Jack Chan, executive director and vice president of IAAPA APAC. ‘Operators and suppliers across Asia-Pacific are embracing creativity, technology, and collaboration to deliver more immersive and memorable experiences. The region continues to be one of the most dynamic and fast-evolving markets for attractions globally.’

The trade show floor covered a broad cross-section of the sector – from ride technology and themed design to operational systems and food and beverage. Education sessions addressed artificial intelligence, workforce development, retail strategy, and revenue optimisation across more than 20 scheduled EDUSessions.

The next edition moves to Osaka, Japan. IAAPA Expo Asia 2027 runs 28 June to 1 July. Already, 216 companies have secured 5,130 square metres of exhibit space.
