IAAPA Expo Asia 2026 opened its doors in Hong Kong on 10 June, drawing thousands of attractions professionals from across the Asia-Pacific region and beyond. The trade show floor at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre runs until 12 June, with more than 300 exhibitors presenting products and services across the full spectrum of the attractions sector.

The opening ceremony featured a performance drawing on Hong Kong’s cultural heritage. Rosanna Law, secretary for the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau, attended, signalling the city government’s backing for the event. The ceremony moved between cultural reference points and contemporary urban imagery before closing on a note centred on connection across the industry.

Jack Chan, executive director and vice president of IAAPA Asia Pacific, addressed the assembled delegates: “Hong Kong is a vibrant global city where culture, creativity, and commerce come together in powerful ways. IAAPA Expo Asia 2026 reflects that energy – bringing our industry together to exchange ideas, spark innovation, and pursue new opportunities.”

Jakob Wahl, president and chief executive officer of IAAPA, positioned the expo as the defining industry gathering for the region: “IAAPA Expo Asia 2026 is the most important event for the global attractions industry in the Asia Pacific region. From the show floor to our education sessions, this Expo brings together leading industry players to get insights, tools, and connections needed to thrive.”

A Leadership Breakfast will feature Su Zhigang, founder and chairman of Chimelong Group, alongside a Women’s Leadership Luncheon for female executives across the sector. The Opening Reception took place at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort.

Education sessions run across all four days, with the trade floor remaining open through 12 June. A Connections Hub provides space for structured peer discussion, and more than 20 EDUSessions cover topics including artificial intelligence, workforce development, and revenue optimisation.
